My new goal is to try to incorporate something enjoyable each day or at least trying to pick out something in-particular that has made each day meaningful. This past weekend I resorted to two of my quintessential interests.
On Friday, I spontaneously made ginger cookies. The recipe has been marked in The Ultimate Cookie Book, courtesy of Nikki, since I first opened it. May as well try a new recipe on a beautiful Friday afternoon!
Saturday I raced. Something I haven't done in 5 months. You may think that maybe taking that long of a break from racing would make it easier. Nope. It's still just as challenging as before as I struggled through the last mile. Overall, it was worth the entry fee and the effort because I won $100 while also learning what kind of shape I am in.
I closed the weekend on Sunday with a 14 mile run in this glorious weather. The sun seems to shine so much brighter in the crisp fall air.
I ate and ran my way through the weekend to balance the grueling hours battling the ArtPrize crowd at Biggby. Time to take on another week!
